The price for choosing handmade products may initially seem high, compared to a store-bought card, but much time and work goes into making each individual piece special.
I use watercolor, pencil, and ink on 140lb cold press paper. Each is an original design, and all are painted, cut, and assembled by hand.
I draw the images with pencil, then I add layers of paint. Depending on the design, this process can become time-consuming... (If the previous layer of paint has not dried, the colors can run and destroy the image.) Finally, many of my images are outlined with ink... (Again, if the paint has not dried, or if my hand is not steady, the image can be destroyed.)
Each card takes many steps to create a finished project! If I am not happy with the result, it is scrapped and I start again!
I use 65lb-80lb white cardstock for the card body, and an assortment of recycled paper envelopes from a great online store: thepapermillstore.com (They use wind power to run their factory! Check them out!)

I am a full-time mom to a great kid, and wife to a husband who is constantly insisting that I pursue my dreams ;)
